Change Leak

The silent loss of planning accuracy that occurs when a decision made in one part of the planning organization fails to propagate correctly to the teams who needed to act on it. Change Leak is always financial. It is rarely measured.

AI Librarian

A trained member of a client's planning team who operates and maintains the Bespoke Library independently after the Basal AI engagement closes. The AI Librarian is not a technology role — it is a planning role with a new capability.

Drift Audit

The Phase 1 diagnostic that identifies every Change Leak in a client's current planning workflow. The Drift Audit produces a quantified map of where planning accuracy is breaking down and why.

Bespoke Library

A client-specific planning intelligence layer built from the organization's own decision logic. The Bespoke Library is not generic. It reflects how this brand, with this team, in this market, makes planning decisions.

Foundation Track

The Basal AI engagement track for spreadsheet-dependent planning environments. No API connections required. Excel and CSV exports only.

Velocity Track

The Basal AI engagement track for ERP-connected planning environments. Looker, SPS Commerce, and API data feeds integrated directly.

Planning Chain

The sequence of decisions that connects a product idea to a customer purchase — Merchandise Planning, Sales Planning, Demand Planning, and execution. When the chain works, every team is working from the same version of the truth.

Airspace

The validation layer that sits between client data and the Basal AI planning system. Airspace checks every input against defined rules before it enters the planning chain. Data that fails validation is quarantined, not silently passed through.

URT

Universal Reference Taxonomy. The standardized naming and classification system that ensures every product, account, and planning unit is referred to consistently across all planning functions. URT eliminates version drift caused by inconsistent terminology.
